The intent of this service is to notify students, parents and the general public by text message on their cell phone of Chester High School's sports cancellations, breaking news, campus closures for weather or other emergencies. This is an free, opt-in service provided by chesteryellowjackets.com.
You can still sign up for the service, even if you don't have a cell phone. We are also offering an email service that would allow you to receive the same messages by email. Look for the sign up link for email notices at the bottom of the sign-up page!
While there is no direct cost for signing up for this service, you may be charged a text message fee by your cell phone provider. Please check your cell phone plan to understand the costs you may incur using this service.
All users who sign up for this service will receive announcements regarding campus closures for weather and other emergencies, test messages to validate the service is working and notification when your account is about to expire.
The new system, powered by e2Campus, enables school officials to send instant alerts directly to registered subscribers’ email accounts and mobile phones via SMS text messages. You can also receive the alerts via RSS, wireless PDA, and your "My Yahoo", "My AOL", or personalized iGoogle home page.
The notification system will be used to communicate important information during any potential emergency, such as a snow delay or closing, or other event. It can also be used to announce school sports scores, registration deadlines, and campus life activities.
This information will be sent out when its received from the administration of Chester High School. This service does not include information for Chester Grade School.
